As a Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll help learners with a wide range of disabilities, from mild to severe, develop essential communication skills in an educational setting. This onsite position offers full-time hours—Monday through Friday, seven hours per day—creating stability and consistency for both you and the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Washington State certification as a Speech Language Pathologist is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting supporting diverse disabilities is highly preferred
- Ability to adapt interventions to serve students at elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and other specialists
- Commitment to maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with IEP requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with various speech and language needs
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services across all assigned grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and legal standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise in speech and language development
- Utilize technology and evidence-based practices to maximize student outcomes
