Make a difference in the lives of children by providing dedicated speech-language pathology services in an onsite, full-time contract role supporting an elementary school. This assignment covers a maternity leave from mid-November through late January, working directly with a caseload of approximately 50 students—including those in the resource setting and the RISE program for children with moderate disabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Washington SLP License and ESA credential
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
  • Previous experience in a school setting, especially at the elementary level, is strongly preferred
  • Skilled in developing and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a variety of speech and language needs
  • Comfortable working with diverse learners, including those with moderate disabilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Your Role Will Include:

  • Delivering speech and language therapy sessions to students, onsite only
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to best support student progress
  • Conducting assessments and providing comprehensive evaluations
  • Documenting student progress in accordance with school and program standards
  • Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the planning and implementation of student goals
  • Providing compassionate support to ensure students are well-served during the maternity leave period
