Make a difference in the lives of children by providing dedicated speech-language pathology services in an onsite, full-time contract role supporting an elementary school. This assignment covers a maternity leave from mid-November through late January, working directly with a caseload of approximately 50 students—including those in the resource setting and the RISE program for children with moderate disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Washington SLP License and ESA credential
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially at the elementary level, is strongly preferred
- Skilled in developing and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a variety of speech and language needs
- Comfortable working with diverse learners, including those with moderate disabilities
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy sessions to students, onsite only
- Collaborating closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to best support student progress
- Conducting assessments and providing comprehensive evaluations
- Documenting student progress in accordance with school and program standards
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the planning and implementation of student goals
- Providing compassionate support to ensure students are well-served during the maternity leave period
