This in-person, contract opportunity is available for immediate start and brings you into an established school environment with ongoing support. You’ll take over for a talented SLP going on maternity leave, working alongside a dedicated SLPA to provide continuity and care for a caseload of approximately 45 children.
Your work week will span Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm, following a consistent daytime schedule. The assignment is ongoing with a flexible 30-day notice period if you need to end your commitment. This allows for both stability and professional flexibility, ideal for skilled professionals seeking an engaging school-based setting.
Requirements and Preferred Background:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license and CCC certification (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with K-12 populations; comfortable adapting to diverse age ranges and communication needs
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with school staff, students, and families
- Previous school-based experience is an asset, though not strictly required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to promote student progress
- Maintain precise documentation for progress monitoring and compliance
- Provide direct therapy and support for a variety of speech, language, and communication needs
- Supervise and partner with the SLPA to ensure comprehensive service delivery
