Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Los Alamos, CA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services for the upcoming school year in a supportive educational environment near Solvang, CA, and close to Los Alamos. As a dedicated SLP for this part-time role, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping TK–8th grade students develop essential communication and language skills—making a direct impact on their academic journey.

This position offers a consistent assignment, with one school site to cover, a mixed caseload of 58 students, and a well-structured schedule that includes the academic year along with 20 additional days before and after the school year. The expected school year runs from August 7, 2026, through June 4, 2027, totaling 180 school days plus extra pre/post year support—for a total of approximately 1600 hours.

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
• California CTC credential required, or eligibility to obtain it (documentation and application for the CTC permit required; permit fees the responsibility of the provider)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
• Experience in pediatrics, educational settings, and/or teletherapy models
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload of TK–8th grade students
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with school teams
• Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain student records in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and communicate with families and educators as needed
