Apply NowMake a meaningful difference supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working in a dynamic school-based setting near Los Alamos, CA. Focused on serving TK-8th grade students, this contract opportunity offers both full-time and part-time positions for the upcoming academic year, with onsite responsibilities. You’ll deliver critical speech and language services to a mixed caseload of 58 students, working at a single location to enhance the student experience and foster communication growth.
Your hours will encompass the full school year (8/7/2026 – 6/4/2027), along with additional days before and after the regular academic schedule, totaling 1600 hours over 200 days. As you support students' communication needs, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to create individualized therapy plans and track measurable progress.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- CTC permit required, or must be in the process of securing/demonstrating progress toward CTC eligibility (documentation and permit fees apply)
- Valid California SLP license or eligibility
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based speech therapy
- Comfortable managing a mixed caseload in the TK-8th range
- SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and teletherapy background welcomed
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for TK-8th grade students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services onsite
- Engage families and staff to promote student achievement
- Maintain timely, accurate records of student progress
