Make a meaningful impact by supporting early learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for a 12-week maternity leave this fall. This contract position begins August 19th and runs through late October, providing you with a rewarding opportunity to work directly with young children at a dynamic early childhood center near Lowell, MI.

In this role, your expertise in speech and language services will help students meet their individual goals as outlined in their IEPs. You’ll collaborate with dedicated teachers, caring parents, and a supportive staff team, all focused on nurturing the communication skills of developing students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid CCC-SLP certification required
  • Prior experience in a school-based SLP role is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development and IDEA/state regulations
  • Ability to engage young learners and work hands-on in an early childhood setting

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy consistent with IEP goals and compliance guidelines
  • Assess communication needs and document progress
  • Work closely with general education and special education teams for integrated student support
  • Communicate with families to foster ongoing progress outside of school
  • Offer professional input and collaborate in team meetings
