Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Virginia state licensure or eligibility for SLP licensure in Virginia
- Prior experience in a K-12 or pediatric setting, preferably in elementary schools
- Experience delivering therapy via teletherapy platforms is a plus
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary-aged students with varied speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy services both in-person and via teletherapy as appropriate
- Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and necessary reports according to school guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure student success and goal achievement
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach for comprehensive student support
- Serve as a resource on communication disorders for educational teams
