Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
• Valid state licensure to practice in Virginia, or ability to obtain.
• Prior experience working in school environments is highly desired.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to individualized, student-centered care and progress documentation.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, identifying areas of concern and developing tailored intervention plans.
• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services according to IEP/504 plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to support effective instructional strategies and student goal achievement.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress, session notes, and required documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions, and support the development and review of goals.
• Educate school staff and families regarding communication disorders and best practices for support.
• Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and inclusive practices in all service delivery.
