Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active or eligible Virginia SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome
- Knowledge of IEP process and ability to write, implement, and monitor service plans
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students, supporting communication, social, and language development
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless support and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and school regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development activities, and interdisciplinary team meetings
