This contract role is an incredible opportunity to work within an educational setting, helping students develop critical communication skills while collaborating with passionate educators.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Active or eligible Virginia SLP license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply
  • Experience working in school-based settings preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome
  • Knowledge of IEP process and ability to write, implement, and monitor service plans
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students with diverse needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students, supporting communication, social, and language development
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless support and monitor student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and school regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development activities, and interdisciplinary team meetings
