Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure (CCC or CFY accepted)
- Experience working with school-aged children
- Familiarity with AAC devices and augmentative communication strategies
- Strong documentation, assessment, and goal-setting skills
- Collaborative, flexible approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and interventions to students with a range of communication needs
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapy using AAC devices and support staff/families in their use
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing clear and meaningful input
- Maintain accurate student records, progress notes, and documentation
- Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and other education professionals
- Adapt therapeutic strategies to meet individual student needs
