This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school-based setting near Manchester, MI. You’ll work with a caseload of around 50 children, collaborating closely with educators, families, and other professionals.

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, providing flexibility to fit your lifestyle and commitments. Use your expertise with AAC devices to help students develop their communication skills, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment where every voice is heard.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Current (or eligible) Speech-Language Pathology license in Michigan
  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants considered
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with IEPs
  • Utilize AAC devices and train staff/students in their use
  • Participate in IEP meetings, document progress, and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers
