Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLP licensure (CCC or CFY accepted)
  • Experience working with school-aged children
  • Familiarity with AAC devices and augmentative communication strategies
  • Strong documentation, assessment, and goal-setting skills
  • Collaborative, flexible approach to working with multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy and interventions to students with a range of communication needs
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement therapy using AAC devices and support staff/families in their use
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing clear and meaningful input
  • Maintain accurate student records, progress notes, and documentation
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and other education professionals
  • Adapt therapeutic strategies to meet individual student needs
