Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- School-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a diverse student population
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) according to state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school specialists to optimize student learning and progress
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and district standards
- Serve as an integral resource for language development, literacy skills, and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC), as needed
- Attend meetings, provide in-services, and participate in professional development
