This full-time role offers consistent hours, with a schedule from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm, providing stability and valuable experience working with a diverse caseload of elementary and middle school students.
Ideal candidates will feel comfortable collaborating with teachers, families, and school staff to meet the communication needs of students across a range of ages and educational backgrounds.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Prior experience in both elementary and middle school settings preferred
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with a variety of communication disorders
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators and caregivers
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with students across K-8 grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-8 students according to IEPs and school goals
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations for students suspected of communication disorders
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress
- Educate and support teachers and families on best practices for supporting communication development at school and at home
