Empower young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist serving preschool and elementary students in a vibrant educational community near Manitou Springs, CO. This role provides a meaningful opportunity to support children as they develop vital communication skills throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.

You'll collaborate with passionate educators to deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services in a supportive, dynamic school atmosphere. Scheduled weekly for 37.5 hours, your day begins around 7:30 AM and ends by 3:30 PM, with exact times varying slightly depending on the assigned campus. This position starts on July 27, 2026, and concludes on May 21, 2027.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Current and valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certification appropriate for school-based practice
  • Experience or strong interest working with preschool and elementary age children
  • Familiarity with school-based documentation, IEP processes, and collaboration with teachers and families
  • Skilled in developing engaging therapy activities tailored for young learners
  • Ability to adapt strategies for diverse developmental and cultural backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and create effective, individualized treatment plans for students aged 3-11
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services within classroom and individual settings
  • Maintain thorough documentation and data collection in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster student success
  • Communicate clearly with families and school staff regarding student progress and strategies for support
