Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year, from August 4, 2026, to May 27, 2027. With a focus on collaborative support in a school-based setting, you'll typically be based at one elementary campus, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule—spending three days onsite and two days working from home.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license or eligibility for licensure in Texas
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credential required
- Experience working or completing internships in a school setting preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish (required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students in grades EE through 5th
- Manage and maintain a caseload (typically under 65 students)
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and participate in ARD meetings
- Document progress and adjust interventions as needed to meet student goals
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress both at school and at home
- Adhere to state, federal, and district policies governing special education services
