Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active California SLP license and ASHA certification (or in process)
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of speech and language disorders
  • Commitment to evidence-based practices and individualized education plan (IEP) compliance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans, aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy services on a schedule coordinated with school staff
  • Document student progress accurately and maintain timely records
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists on student support teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering clinical insight and recommendations
  • Consult on strategies for classroom teachers and provide support for generalizing skills
