Take the next step in your speech-language pathology career with a rewarding opportunity supporting early childhood students for a 12-week long-term substitute assignment. This contract position focuses on early childhood special education (ECSE) for children ages 3-5, allowing you to make a significant impact during a critical stage of development. You’ll collaborate within a supportive team in a school-based environment, using your skills to nurture young learners’ communication abilities.

Assignment Details:

  • Long-term substitute assignment in early childhood setting
  • Contract runs approximately from September 7, 2026, to November 30, 2026
  • Part-time schedule: 22.5 hours per week, 3 days per week (Monday–Friday)
  • Caseload focuses on ECSE students aged 3-5

Qualifications/Required Experience:

  • Active Minnesota SLP license (required; must be presented to be considered)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Prior experience in school settings and working with early childhood or preschool-aged students preferred
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement appropriate IEPs
  • Resume must be submitted for consideration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to preschool-aged children with diverse needs
  • Conduct assessments and support IEP development and implementation
  • Track and report student progress
  • Communicate effectively with staff, families, and stakeholders
