Embrace a rewarding opportunity to support high school students through specialized speech-language services in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, full-school-year contract position is ideal for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), whether you are newly graduated with your CCC or a potential mentor for an SLPA looking to build experience.

In this itinerant assignment, you'll be based at three high school sites. The majority of your caseload will be at Mountain View High School, where you'll work with approximately 50 students. Vista and MCAT High Schools round out your week with a combined total of about 10 additional students. Your caseload of 60-70 students will encompass a range of communication needs, from articulation challenges to more complex cases such as ASD and students in the adaptive cluster program with mild to severe disabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, standard SLP certification required
  • IVP fingerprint clearance card required
  • Experience or interest in working across multiple sites and serving diverse student needs
  • Open to Clinical Fellows and those willing to support or supervise experienced SLPAs
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in both individual and group settings
  • Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Offer support and mentorship to SLPA staff, as applicable
  • Travel between assigned school sites as part of your weekly routine
