Make a meaningful difference in the lives of high school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment. This rewarding position is full-time for the full school year, serving across three local high school campuses. You’ll primarily support students at one large campus with a caseload of around 50, as well as two smaller sites with an additional 10 students combined—serving a total of approximately 60-70 students.

Your expertise will be vital for a wide range of needs, from mild articulation disorders to severe disabilities, including students in adaptive cluster programs and those with ASD. As an itinerant SLP, you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, providing essential support and intervention for diverse learners.

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid state SLP license and active, standard certification.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based settings strongly preferred.
  • Current IVP fingerprint clearance card (required prior to start).
  • Ability to manage a large, varied caseload with excellent time management.
  • Skillful communication and collaboration with students, families, and personnel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Screening, evaluating, and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with articulation, fluency, voice, language, and pragmatic disorders.
  • Providing direct and consultative therapy to meet student needs.
  • Collaborating with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families.
  • Managing all necessary documentation and progress reports.
  • Offering support and guidance to staff regarding communication disorders and intervention strategies.
