School-based Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed to support a range of age groups in both full-time and part-time roles. Work onsite in dynamic environments, fostering a positive impact while collaborating with dedicated education teams.
Your expertise will be put to use across varied school assignments (most with a single-site caseload) ranging from early childhood and elementary settings to specialized low-incidence units. Interviewing is underway for placements in sites such as Gideons Old 4th Ward, Drew Pre-K, Barack and Michelle Obama ES, Brandon Primary Campus, Mary Lin ES, Wesley Academy, KIPP Ways, Douglass High School, Bolton ES, Buckhead Community Preschools, Atlanta Neighborhood Charter, Rivers, and more. Opportunities also exist for bilingual SLPs, especially at Rivers and surrounding areas, making this an excellent fit to leverage diverse language skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Georgia Department of Education certificate
- Valid Georgia SLP license
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Bilingual skills are a bonus, especially for select locations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans
- Deliver therapy to students with a variety of communication needs
- Maintain documentation and progress reports per school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
