Desired Background:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Recent experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly K-5
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with each student’s IEP goals
  • Maintain detailed progress reports, data collection, and compliance with federal/state regulations
  • Partner closely with teachers, special educators, and families to support growth across academic and social environments
  • Offer professional input and attend IEP meetings as needed
  • Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that foster student participation
  • Provide training and resources to staff and parents to maximize student progress
