Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Recent experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly K-5
- Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with each student’s IEP goals
- Maintain detailed progress reports, data collection, and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Partner closely with teachers, special educators, and families to support growth across academic and social environments
- Offer professional input and attend IEP meetings as needed
- Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that foster student participation
- Provide training and resources to staff and parents to maximize student progress
