A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed immediately to support an elementary school within a special education cooperative in the Muncie, IN area. This is a contract position for the current school year, providing an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ communication development in an energetic, school-based setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 83 students
- Collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conducting assessments, progress monitoring, and reporting in compliance with school and state regulations
- Supporting students’ communication goals in both small groups and individual sessions
- Maintaining thorough documentation and participating in team meetings
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working in an elementary school environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with staff
- Ability to work primarily in-person, contributing on-site at the designated elementary school
