Make a difference working with young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year! This opportunity focuses on supporting PreK students (ages 3-5) in dynamic educational settings near Marrero, LA. With an itinerant caseload, you’ll engage with a variety of students, collaborating closely with educators and support staff to foster early communication development in the classroom.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid SLP licensure for the state
  • Previous experience with school-aged children, particularly PreK or early childhood populations, is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes, speech/language interventions, and collaborative service delivery models
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to adapt to multiple classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services for PreK students as part of itinerant support, serving children across different sites
  • Complete thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and ongoing collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Offer caregiver and teacher consultation to promote continuous skill development
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
