Desired Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- School-based SLP experience strongly desired
- Familiarity with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System)
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to engage students and work alongside educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to K-12 students, addressing a range of communication needs
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in ECATS
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Provide support and resources for classroom teachers regarding student communication strategies
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations relating to speech pathology services
