Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-27 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting diverse learners across a variety of school settings. This dynamic role offers the chance to work full-time—37.5 hours per week—serving students in PreK, elementary, and middle/high school campuses for the academic year. With a manageable caseload of 50-55 students, you’ll deliver impactful speech-language services, collaborating with dedicated educators and families throughout the Maysville area and neighboring communities such as Vanceboro, New Bern, Havelock, James City, Newport, Merrimon, Emerald Isle, and Cedar Island.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as an SLP (CCC, or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates encouraged to apply)
  • Previous school-based experience or strong interest in pediatric and educational settings
  • Background in teletherapy strongly valued
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Ability to manage and organize caseload documentation and Individualized Education Program (IEP) participation
  • Adaptable and collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in line with IEP goals
  • Deliver therapy in-person or via teletherapy platforms, as needed
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing staff collaboration
  • Serve schools across PreK, elementary, and secondary levels
