Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll help make meaningful progress in the lives of children aged 8–11 years (grades 3 through 5), working with a caseload of 35 students. This role covers both Greenville Elementary School and Greenville Middle School, providing ongoing support from your start date through May 21, 2027. With a dedicated 35-hour work week, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to create an engaging, positive environment for student growth.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active SLP license and current state certification required.
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, especially with elementary or middle school students.
- Strong understanding of evaluation, IEP development, and data-driven intervention planning for speech and language needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff.
- Able to manage a caseload of 35 students across two school settings.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students ages 8–11, grades 3–5.
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and teachers.
- Monitor and report on student progress in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely communication.
