This opportunity is based near Mckeesport, PA, with a flexible 2-days-per-week schedule, ideally suited for professionals interested in secondary and select older elementary caseloads. As school calendar details are still being finalized, anticipate a typical assignment spanning from late August through late May or early June.
Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to empower students in a collaborative educational environment. You'll work closely with other educators and specialists to ensure students receive the interventions and support they need for academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid SLP-CCC credential
- Eligible for Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, including work with secondary and/or upper elementary students, preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Manage a secondary caseload with possible inclusion of older elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative services in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with school teams to support student learning and participation
