A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in McKinney, TX, providing services to a diverse student population from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract role requires an onsite professional to manage mixed caseloads effectively and support communication development for students across grade levels.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and screenings for students K-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s communication needs
- Provide therapy services to address speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student progress and monitor goals
- Document student progress and maintain timely reports according to school guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working within school settings, managing a mixed caseload from early childhood through high school
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time, 40 hours per week, from ASAP to the end of the school year
