Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist working in a dynamic school setting. This contract opportunity runs from August 17, 2026, through June 7, 2027, offering a stable, school-year assignment near Mechanicsville, VA. You’ll work across 2-3 school sites, supporting an engaging caseload of approximately 40 elementary students. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping young learners find their voices and achieve their full communication potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure in Virginia (or ability to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred, but open to Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices for service delivery and IEP development in elementary settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services; monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and compliance documentation across multiple sites
