Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in their communication growth as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This contract role offers a meaningful way to engage with learners, collaborating within a school setting for 10-12 hours per week and following a 10½ month academic calendar.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current SLPA license or eligibility in the state
- Experience in school-based settings, including with speech-language pathology and teletherapy platforms
- Familiarity with IEP implementation and progress documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work creatively within multidisciplinary teams
- Professional knowledge of both in-person and remote (teletherapy) intervention methods
- Proficiency in managing small groups and supporting diverse student needs
- SLP-Certificates of Clinical Competence (CCC) desirable but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language interventions in collaboration with supervising SLPs
- Implement individualized education plans with attention to student goals and progress
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy activities for both in-person and virtual delivery to maximize student engagement
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families for holistic support
- Ensure compliance with school, state, and federal guidelines
