Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a dynamic educational setting. This position is designed to cover a maternity leave from August 10, 2026, through December 2026, with the potential (but not a guarantee) for extension through the remainder of the school year. You'll be working with three medically fragile classrooms, collaborating closely with an experienced SLP and a dedicated SLPA, ensuring a team-focused approach to student care.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure or certification as an SLP-CCC, SLP, or SLPA
  • Prior experience working in school settings, especially with medically fragile populations
  • Strong background in utilizing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices to facilitate student engagement and progress
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with other therapists, educators, and family members

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students in assigned classrooms, tailoring interventions to individual student needs
  • Implement and monitor therapy plans using AAC devices, adapting strategies as students progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to evaluations, and document all services and progress notes in accordance with school requirements
  • Work collaboratively with an on-site SLP and SLPA, creating a supportive and collegial work environment
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families to ensure continuity and quality of care

This contract position offers a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule, with 32.5 to 35 hours per week. You'll gain specialized experience working with medically fragile students and be part of a supportive collaborative team environment.
