Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid and current SLP license in the state of Ohio
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior school-based experience preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds are also welcome
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult with educators and families to support student success
- Offer recommendations and strategies to teachers for classroom carryover of skills
- Stay current with best practices in the field and engage in professional development opportunities
