Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ speech and language development in a school-based setting near Mentor, OH. Two full-time positions are available: one providing vital support to preschoolers from March 2nd through May 28th, and another assisting K-12 students from April 7th through May 28th. This role is well-suited for speech-language pathologists passionate about making a daily impact in education.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP license in Ohio (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in pediatric or school settings is highly desired
  • Skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to assigned students in preschool or K-12 settings, based on the assignment
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation and track student outcomes
  • Provide input and support for IEP meetings and reporting
  • Communicate effectively with staff and families, fostering a supportive learning environment
