Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting students with diverse communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a specialized school setting near Meriden, CT. This long-term assignment starts as soon as possible and extends through November 1, 2026, including the Extended School Year (ESY). Work alongside a robust team of professionals—six other SLPs, behavior technicians, and additional staff—serving a closely supported student population.

Key Details:

  • Contract role running ASAP through 11/1/26, including ESY
  • ESY Dates: July 1 – July 24; Monday–Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm
  • School Year: August 12 – November 1, 2026; Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm
  • Single school location with two programs: PreK–8th grade and ages 9–22
  • Small caseload focused on students with autism and behavioral needs
  • Fully supported work atmosphere

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience strongly preferred
  • Comfort with high-needs populations, especially autism and behavioral challenges
  • Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized plans for communication needs
  • Collaborate extensively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic student support
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with all school and state requirements
  • Engage in team meetings, IEP processes, and family communications
