Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students with complex needs, including significant autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities. This role covers a Speech-Language Pathologist maternity leave for the 2026-2027 academic year, with an assignment running from August 12th to November 1st in the North Haven area.

As an essential member of a multidisciplinary educational team, you’ll make a positive impact by helping students develop vital communication skills that will foster both academic and personal growth. Your expertise will be relied upon to serve a diverse student population, collaborating with educators and families in a supportive setting.

What we’re seeking:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current SLP license for the state of Connecticut
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility preferred
  • Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with complex needs or ASD populations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Familiarity with IEPs, goal development, and progress monitoring

Role responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students with moderate to severe needs
  • Conduct evaluations, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and district policies
