Exciting contract opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists with CCCs interested in making a positive difference in a dynamic school setting near Meriden, CT. Two full-time positions are offered, both covering maternity leaves and requiring onsite support for K-12 students. Your skills and experience will help students achieve communication goals within a collaborative and welcoming educational environment.
Position Details:
- Full-time contract roles with 35 hours per week
- 2 immediate openings:
• First position: Late September start, running through mid-December
• Second position: Tentative mid-November start through early January - Onsite work supporting K-12 students with diverse communication needs
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current and active Connecticut SLP licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) required
- Must have prior experience working in school-based settings
- Ability to effectively support students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educators and families
- SLPAs are not permitted for these roles
- District background check and fingerprints required before start
- Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview
- Upfront licensing completion strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to K-12 learners
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff for student success
- Document student progress and maintain records in compliance with district standards
