Qualifications:

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Active Connecticut Department of Health License
  • Connecticut Teacher Certification 061
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations, including self-contained classrooms
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language assessment, intervention, and therapy for students in grades Pre-K through high school
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Offer support, consultation, and training to staff and families to facilitate student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress effectively
  • Adapt services for students with varying needs, including those in self-contained settings
