School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Merrillville, Indiana

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current SLP license or eligibility for licensure in Indiana
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) will be considered
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric environment is highly desirable
• Familiarity with IEP processes and working with diverse student populations
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting specific goals
• Deliver direct therapy services to students in group and one-on-one settings
• Consult with teachers and other educational staff to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
• Provide screening, prevention strategies, and staff/family training as needed
