Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLP license
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or DHHT certification required
  • Experience supporting DHH students preferred
  • Ability to complete TEA fingerprinting (if not already completed in Texas schools)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students within the DHH program (ages PreK–high school)
  • Collaborate with a team of three SLPs to serve approximately 130 students, with an emphasis on therapy delivery rather than evaluations
  • Adapt therapy methods to support language development for DHH children and adolescents
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings
