Experience a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the vibrant community near Metairie, LA as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time role covers maternity leave from September 14 through the return date after Thanksgiving break (Monday, November 30), providing high-quality speech and language services to students at Schaumberg Elementary.

In this onsite-only role, you'll collaborate with a dedicated educational team, supporting a caseload of 50-60 diverse students. Candidates with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are preferred, however, Clinical Fellows (CF) will also be considered—making this a great opportunity for both new and experienced professionals eager to build their skills in a school-based setting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • ASHA CCC preferred, but not required; strong consideration for Clinical Fellows
  • Prior experience in a school setting is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for fostering student growth and success

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Assess, diagnose, and monitor students’ speech, language, and communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapy techniques
