Step into a dynamic educational environment in the greater New Orleans area as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, where your expertise will impact a diverse student population. This contract opportunity is perfectly suited for a clinician looking to make a meaningful contribution during a maternity leave coverage this fall. You'll provide essential services from September 14th through November 30th, working full-time onsite with a caseload of 50-60 elementary students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF)
  • Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of speech and language disorders among school-aged children
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create supportive learning plans
  • Commitment to working onsite and supporting students’ progress through evidence-based intervention

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, identify, and deliver individualized speech and language therapy services for elementary students
  • Develop and implement IEPs that align with each student’s specific needs and educational goals
  • Document student progress and maintain detailed records in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, multidisciplinary teams, and families to foster student achievement
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as part of the school community
