Travel School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Metairie, Louisiana

A position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapeutic services within a school setting. This role involves working with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, contributing to their academic and social success. The assignment requires travel within the Metairie, LA area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language challenges
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students’ progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP or state equivalent)
• Experience working in educational settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development in children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel within the designated area reliably
