Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a dynamic contract opportunity serving K-12 students for the 2026-2027 academic year near Michigan City, IN. This position offers the chance to work full-time, helping students reach their communication and academic goals in a supportive educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in Indiana (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Recent experience working with school-aged children—K-12 preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress reporting
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Collaborative attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Organizational skills and adaptability within a school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in grades K-12
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to identify communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEPs
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports, staying compliant with regulatory standards
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and generalization of skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute your expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Use evidence-based interventions suited to diverse learning needs
