Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting diverse students in an educational setting near Middletown, Delaware. In this in-person role, you will bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to help students reach their communication goals in either preschool or older student populations.

This assignment runs from July 6, 2026, to August 6, 2026, with July 6 reserved for orientation and setup. Workdays are Tuesday through Thursday, with variable staff hours depending on specific site needs. There’s also an option to add Mondays to your schedule if you’re interested in supporting preschool itinerant students in community childcare settings.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active SLP licensure and credentials for practice in educational environments
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
  • Pediatric experience, with a strong ability to connect with students from early childhood through young adulthood
  • Background in center-based preschool or secondary/high school settings, depending on preference
  • Willingness to provide in-person therapy and collaborate on-site with multidisciplinary teams

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessments, intervention, and therapy services for assigned caseloads:
       • Two SLPs for center-based preschool students; option for community childcare itinerant work on Mondays
       • One SLP supporting high school students and young adults (ages 18-22)
  • Develop individualized plans and document student progress
  • Consult with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure holistic student support
  • Create an engaging, supportive learning environment that fosters communication skill development
