Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Middletown, DE

Take on a rewarding opportunity providing speech-language support in a thriving school environment near Middletown, DE. This contract role offers two dynamic assignments for experienced or early-career SLPs:

• Full-time maternity leave coverage with a preschool focus (some children enrolled in Autism programs), running from November 18, 2026, to March 10, 2027; fully in-person with no remote option.
• An immediate opening for a full-time SLP to oversee kindergarten and middle school caseloads, working on a shared campus—the current role is virtual but will transition to onsite.

Ideal candidates bring their expertise and passion for supporting diverse learners, adapting therapy approaches for both general education and Autism program students.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences.
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for school-based SLP practice.
• CCC-SLP credential or CFY status accepted.
• School-based experience preferred; open to strong CF candidates.
• Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder and early childhood communication development.
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills.
• Commitment to delivering services strictly in-person.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver direct intervention to students in designated age groups.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and provide input for student IEPs.
• Maintain timely documentation and progress reports.
• Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and school teams.
