Make an impact supporting students’ communication skills in a vibrant educational environment. A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Clinical Fellows (CFYs) to work onsite near Middletown and Dover, DE. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offers the chance to provide critical speech and language services to students primarily in pre-kindergarten and elementary grades, with some cases extending up to age 22. Current openings address multiple needs, and the assignment begins as soon as possible, continuing into the Extended School Year (ESY) at 30 hours per week, and extending into the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities include
- Delivering direct speech and language therapy services to students with special needs, especially those with autism and moderate to low functioning abilities
- Conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and tracking student progress
- Collaborating with special education staff, teachers, and families to support each child’s communication goals
- Documenting services and progress in compliance with school and district requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to a multidisciplinary team
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLP state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware
- Open to experienced SLPs as well as enthusiastic Clinical Fellows (CFYs)
- Previous experience working with special education populations, including students on the autism spectrum, is highly valued
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to providing services exclusively onsite
