School Speech Language Pathologist - Middletown, NY

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team, providing speech and language services to young learners. You’ll play a key role in helping students reach their communication goals and maximize their success in the classroom.

This assignment is set to run from ASAP through January 2027, with potential for extension. Your primary focus will be working within an elementary school, serving a diverse student population in a collaborative, resource-rich setting.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid NYS Teaching Certification is required
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
• Previous experience in a school-based SLP position preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to working a full-time (5 days/week) schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students
• Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assess students’ speech and language abilities and document progress
• Deliver direct and consultative services in both individual and group settings
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and school-wide initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and comply with school and state requirements
