Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current or eligible state licensure as an SLP
  • Previous experience in a school setting highly valued
  • Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with educators, families, and support staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small groups
  • Document progress and maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student IEP goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress evaluation
  • Provide consultations and resources to staff and parents to foster an inclusive learning environment
  • Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and educational trends
