Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible state licensure as an SLP
- Previous experience in a school setting highly valued
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Document progress and maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress evaluation
- Provide consultations and resources to staff and parents to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and educational trends
