Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Virginia
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates will be considered
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
  • Proficiency in assessment, intervention, and development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and IEPs
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services addressing articulation, fluency, language, and related disorders
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ educational goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
