This position offers an exciting mix: you'll begin with a long-term substitute assignment for approximately 10 weeks starting in October, working with students at the elementary level, and then transition into a flexible 2-day-per-week schedule thereafter.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current CCC-SLP certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for SLP licensure in Minnesota
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP process, documentation, and progress tracking
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and students
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for a diverse elementary student population
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language and hearing screenings and evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative services in a supportive school environment
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports, contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a cohesive support network for each student
- Participate in professional development as needed to uphold best practices
