Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Experience or Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Proven expertise in school-based, pediatric SLP settings
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, ideally overseeing SLPAs
- Strong background with evaluations, documentation, and IEP processes
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to students, individually and in groups
- Supervise and mentor 2 SLPAs, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
- Complete initial, triennial, and ongoing speech-language evaluations with accurate, timely documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support each student’s IEP goals
- Contribute to planning and implementing effective communication strategies within the school setting
- Maintain meticulous records and stay current with best practices in the field
