Take on a rewarding role supporting students’ speech and language development in a contract position near Milford, DE. Work full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a population ranging from kindergarten through age 22, including those with moderate to severe disabilities. Your expertise will be central in helping students achieve critical milestones in communication and functional skills.

Requirements and Desired Experience:

  • Hold or be eligible for a Delaware state SLP license (SLP or CFY candidates encouraged)
  • Experience as an SLP in school settings, with additional specialization in autism or assistive technology considered a plus
  • Demonstrated success working with students with moderate to severe disabilities is highly valued
  • Skilled in collaborating with both parents and interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong communicator, flexible, and comfortable with problem-solving in dynamic situations

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored speech-language therapy for a diverse range of student needs
  • Address assistive technology, augmentative/alternative communication, social language, articulation, voice, oral-motor, feeding, and language delays
  • Complete diagnostic and evaluation testing; create clear, in-depth assessment reports
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IEP objectives
  • Communicate student progress and recommendations effectively with families and educators
