As a valued speech-language professional, you will:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and therapy services to a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students.
- Fulfill your role primarily at one campus, with occasional support provided to a second school.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows if you hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster communication skills and support academic progress.
- Maintain accurate records, document progress, and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect students’ unique needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings as a key resource for speech and language development.
- Stay current on best practices in school-based speech pathology and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.
Ideal candidates will present:
- A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current SLP (ASHA) licensure in Alabama.
- Professional educator license for Alabama (visit the Alabama certification website for details).
- Experience or genuine interest in elementary and middle school populations.
- Willingness to supervise Clinical Fellows (required if CCC-SLP).
- A collaborative spirit, excellent organizational skills, and a flexible approach to school assignments.
- Both Clinical Fellows and CCC-SLPs are encouraged to apply.
