You'll help children overcome obstacles in speech and language, fostering rich communication environments and academic success.
Qualifications:
- Valid ASHA SLP license in Alabama
- Professional educator license for Alabama (see state certification site for verification)
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CF) and SLPs holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred
- Willingness to supervise CFs if holding CCCs
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability for managing assignments at one or two schools and a caseload of approximately 60 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to elementary and middle school students
- Support students with a range of communication needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow school professionals to maximize student progress
- Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellows if applicable
