School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Millbrook, Alabama

This is a contract opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologists who are committed to making an impact with elementary and middle school students. You'll help children overcome obstacles in speech and language, fostering rich communication environments and academic success.

Qualifications:

• Valid ASHA SLP license in Alabama
• Professional educator license for Alabama (see state certification site for verification)
• Open to Clinical Fellows (CF) and SLPs holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred
• Willingness to supervise CFs if holding CCCs
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability for managing assignments at one or two schools and a caseload of approximately 60 students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to elementary and middle school students
• Support students with a range of communication needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow school professionals to maximize student progress
• Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellows if applicable
