Discover an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist through the end of the school year. This role spans from now until June 5th and involves working 7.25-hour days in one or two buildings in a collaborative and welcoming school environment just outside Minneapolis, MN. You’ll work directly with approximately 50 elementary-aged students, providing crucial therapy services, supporting communication skill development, and partnering with staff and families.
This position welcomes both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellow (CF) candidates, as long as appropriate supervision is available. If you are passionate about pediatric speech-language pathology and thrive in school settings, this opportunity is designed for you.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligible CF with appropriate supervision available
- Valid state SLP licensure (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Experience with pediatric populations or school-based speech services preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for a wide range of speech and language disorders
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and delivering individualized speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Developing and implementing IEP goals in close collaboration with educational teams
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Consulting with educators and families to optimize student support
- Providing support across one or two school buildings as assigned
